Blushing Bride

Currently I am in the middle of my busy wedding season and I couldn’t be happier about it. I love doing bridal makeup and working with women on their most special day. Every bride is different, with their own unique wedding style and their makeup is no exception. When I first meet with my bridal clients for their makeup trial, I always ask them to bring makeup inspiration images. Just like when you take pictures of hair styles you like to your hair stylist, pictures help convey a client’s comfort level with makeup, and what they would like to replicate for their wedding. Tastes and preferences differ, but every bride wants to look their most beautiful on their wedding day.

The time of the wedding, the theme of the wedding or style, and the wedding venue all help dictate makeup looks. In example, a daytime vintage wedding in a garden calls for a subtle, more natural look, whereas a black tie Old Hollywood evening wedding is the time for more glamour, in the form of smoky eyes, or a darker lip. Wedding makeup needs to be occasion appropriate. In the hopes of helping brides find makeup inspiration, whether it be a more glamorous or more natural look, I have compiled images from some of my favorite wedding blogs: Green Wedding Shoes, Style Me Pretty, The Wedding Chicks, Once Wed, Snippet & Ink and 100 Layer Cake.  There is truly a look for everyone; I hope you enjoy the lovely inspiration.

Do you have any favorite looks from above? If you’re already married what makeup look did you opt for on your wedding day? If you’re not married, and plan on marrying, what makeup look do you think you will go for?

I don’t have a boyfriend, but I do plan to get married, and when I do, I want you to do my makeup, Bre.

In the meantime, I will fawn and lust over these pictures…which are gorgeoussssss. I love them all. Seriously. How am I supposed to pick one? Sometimes I think I prefer the softer looks, and then I see a bold red lip and I die. You will need to counsel me through the process, obvs.
