Lash Envy

Long, black, curled, illustrious lashes. We all want them. We’ve all seen them. We’ve seen them on a beautiful baby, we’ve seen them on a gorgeous model {hint: they are usually false lashes, but models are ungodly beautiful so they could be all natural} and unfortunately, we’ve seen them on guys. Which is obviously a waste {of mascara}, and a cruel joke on Mother Nature’s part. Every mascara out there promises to give you the lush lashes you crave, but few deliver. I’ve found success in combining two different formulations, a lengthening, and a thickening. A little more work, but worth the extra effort for dramatic lashes. Currently, lash growth enhancing mascaras are growing increasingly more popular. I haven’t tried any yet, as I think most are just a bunch of hullabaloo. What I do know, that works, is the prescription product for lash growth, Latisse. Latisse is the first only FDA approved eyelash growth treatment. It came to the market when researchers discovered a happy accident, a side effect of glaucoma medication for their patients: dense, dark, long lashes. I’m sure you’ve seen the ads in your favorite magazines or on TV, Brooke Shields was up first and now the latest spokes model is Claire Danes. The effects are truly spectacular, but beauty, as we know, doesn’t come cheap. A one month supply of Latisse will cost you around $120, and significant results occur usually around the second month of use, but everyone is different. The effects only last for as long as you use the product. I know I’d love to get my hands on a box {or six}. But, until then, I will take care of my lashes. I will try not to rub or be rough with my eyes, and I will gently remove my makeup at night with eye makeup remover {as seen here}. What about you, will you try Latisse? Have you already?

I’d love to try this stuff and see if it gives me longer, fuller lashes! I suffer from the short, straight eyelash, unlike my bf who has beautiful long curly ones. *sigh* I’ve heard Margaret Cho has tried Latisse tho!
