Paint by Numbers | Choosing the Right Eye Shadow for Your Eye Color

If eyes are the window to the soul. . . then we really should accentuate them! I’m often asked “what colors work best for my eyes?” The answer: elementary art class. Look to an artist’s color wheel-find your eye color and choose whatever is the opposite. This is the most complementary shade.

Brown eyed girls have it made in the shade-they can wear whatever color they want! Don’t get caught up in trying to be just so in your shade selection-or too literal. If you have blue eyes you don’t have to wear orange eye shadow per say, but a peach or orange based brown would be stunning on you.

Forget the antiquated idea of matching your eye color to your eye shadow-it’s the quickest way to Dullsville. Try it if you don’t believe me-the complementary color will have your eyes looking their most vibrant. Have fun playing with color lovelies!
