Gifts for Mom

I’m going to level with you on this one. You have outgrown the age where “coupons for hugs,” a clay pinch pot, and an elbow macaroni necklace qualify as a legitimate mother’s day present. I know, every year she insists that she doesn’t want anything-but I don’t buy that and neither should you. With that, I have a few simple gift suggestions that should leave your mom smiling and beaming with maternal pride at your thoughtfulness:

Sephora Best of Fragrance Deluxe Sampler For Her- What mom doesn’t love perfume? My own mother collects perfume so this would make an ideal gift. Fragrance is a personal gift, but this gift set allows for your mom to pick the scent she likes best. In this set she will receive ten fragrance samples to try, once she has picked her favorite, she takes the included voucher to Sephora and receives the full size version of her new favorite. Voila!

Spa Gift Certificate- If anyone deserves some pampering, it’s your mom. A spa gift certificate is a great option to ensure she gets the treatments she likes and is most comfortable with. Massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, salt scrubs, there is truly something for every mom to enjoy. SpaFinder can refer you to local spas and provide you with instant print or email gift certificates {you read that correctly procrastinators}.

Tocca Beauty Candles- I like to think of candles as a longer lasting alternative to flowers. Tocca candles are amazing. They’re strongly scented {without inducing headaches} and create ambiance in a room like no one’s business. So many great and best selling scents to choose from, but my mother and I’s favorite is Grace, with Casablanca lily top notes. If they ever turn Grace into a body lotion or perfume we are all over it.

A blowout. I think we can all attest to the mood elevating effects great hair can bestow upon a woman. I had a fantastic time at Dry Bar, it was such a lovely indulgence. If you’re not lucky enough to live near one, treat your mom to a blowout at her regular salon. She will leave feeling uplifted and renewed.

Dinner and a movie. I am a big fan of experience gifts, and I think it shows more creativity and thoughtfulness than just a restaurant gift certificate. To that end, do you know who your mom would love as her dinner date and movie companion? You! Mother’s day is the perfect time to take your mom out for some one on one quality time. The movie may be a forgettable rom com, but believe me when I say your mom will remember spending time with you.

What are you giving your mom for mother’s day? Any helpful gift suggestions?
