Bananas. Shut it down. Lit-erally. I’m having a moment. I die. Major. Out of control. On another level. Amah-zing. I’ve come undone. These dramatic turns of phrase, or Zoeisms if you will, only make me love stylist Rachel Zoe even more. Zoe captured my heart long before her reality show (season 4 premieres tonight on Bravo). I can remember reading about her in an issue of Harper’s Bazaar, seeing her incredible closet, her flawless style and aesthetic, and thinking to myself, who is this woman?
Rachel Zoe is a huge inspiration for me. I find myself gravitating toward role models who seemingly have it all, entrepreneurs who maintain the balance between work and family. Rachel accomplishes this with serious style. The glam-hippy, 70s inspired look is synonymous with the fashion icon. I love how she mixes vintage with both high and low end pieces for all look that is all her own. Her love of faux fur, sequins, hats, jewelry and other accessories (excessories in Zoe speak) often in the same outfit, subscribes to the belief that sometimes more is more. I love Rachel’s style so much that I paid homage to her on Halloween a few years ago, right down to the venti Starbucks.
Rachel has branched out from stylist to celebrities such as Kate Hudson, Demi Moore, Cameron Diaz, Eva Mendes, and Anne Hathaway, to author and designer. Rachel has lines for both QVC and Neiman Marcus. Upon the birth of her son, she now also wants to design children’s clothes. Can you imagine?! Little faux fur vests complete with sequin hats? I die!
Are you a fan of Rachel Zoe? Will you be tuning in tonight for the premiere of season 4?
There are a lot of hilarious Rachel Zoe parodies, this one has always been one of my favorites.
