Grammy Makeup Winners

Confession: I did not watch the Grammys last night. Not even for a minute. I was far too wrapped up in the midseason premiere of The Walking Dead. I did, however, Google to recap the fashion, hair, and makeup hits and misses. Everyone’s favorite British songbird, Adele, won every award she was nominated for and she looked absolutely incredible! Here are my other favorite Grammy makeup winners:

Try NARS lipgloss in Chihuahua for a nude, glossy pout similar to Lily Aldridge.

Try M.A.C. Eyeshadow in Shadowy Lady for a sexy, smoky eye look like Jessie J.

Try Smoke and Mirrors Beauty Lashes in Hollywood for a full and thick eye opening effect like Carrie Underwood.

Try M.A.C. Lipglass in Chai for a toffee colored shine like Kelly Rowland.

Try NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella for a show stopping, classic red lip like Adele.

Did you watch the Grammys? Who was your favorite performance? Would you rock any of these makeup looks? I think Adele killed it with her retro black eyeliner, thick lashes, and iconic red lip. If you haven’t yet tried a red lip, let Adele be your inspiration and try it this year!

Great info always! Love your insite…. What color lip did Adele use at the Grammys for the pale lip?

Don’t you think whoever does Adele’s makeup does a fabulous job? I mean they really play up her best features and she always looks so pretty on stage. What do you think?

Also… wondering what you think of estee lauder brand makeup etc. I always think of it as an “older ladies” brand but they are trying to be more youthful now. Teri

@Teri I completely agree! Adele’s makeup artist, Michael Ashton, does an amazing job with her makeup and I love that he is also a fan of M.A.C. She always looks gorgeous. As per usual, I tend to agree with you, I like the Estee Lauder brand and it does seem that it is geared for the more mature customer but lately they are aiming for a younger, more contemporary, demographic i.e. their collaboration with Cupcakes and Cashmere. Personally, I really like their Double Wear Foundation and Idealist skincare, but Estee Lauder owns M.A.C. (and other prestigious makeup and skincare companies) so their Double Wear Foundation really reminds me of M.A.C. Pro Longwear Foundation. I am definitely a M.A.C. girl at heart and can’t see myself changing anytime soon.

@Amy I did like Katy’s makeup too…but her hair really bugs me…haha Personally, I think we have enough cray with Lady G.

  8. Really liked your article, I loved all the different looks. Adele’s classic red lips and black eyeliner is by far my favorite look–although I also loved everyone’s look. They all are gorgeous!
