One of the things I love about Halloween the most is the transformation and the integral role that makeup plays. Every year, on October 31st, beauty takes on a whole new meaning, and you become someone new. While masks completely conceal your identity, makeup enhances you and transforms you into a more fantastical version of yourself. Once your makeup is complete, you can marvel at your new persona and take on the traits of your chosen character. At the end of the night, you can go back to being you. Until next year at least. To help get you into character, here are my Halloween makeup essentials:
Paperself Paper Lashes- These innovative lashes have created a whole new concept in the name of beauty. These faux lashes are made from a paper pattern and are like jewelry for the eyes, perfect for Halloween or any special occasion.
Ultraflesh Flash Face Decorating Kit – This kit includes reusable stencils, pencils, and metallic sprays for face and body makeup. It really allows you to be creative and go all out or rein it in for a more elegant effect. To keep costs down, split the kit with a friend.
Tarte for True Blood Natural Cheek Stain- This sheer sparkling red stain is great for use all year round and is on trend for fall makeup. It glides on smoothly and lasts all day. This stain would be perfect for a Snow White costume or other Disney princess look.
Fluo Black Light Pigment- This transparent powder is activated by and only visible under UV light. How cool is that?! This powder enhances any makeup and can be worn on the face and body, in a variety of ways, and would be a great accessory to any Halloween party.
M.A.C. Glitter- I love me some sparkle and these glitters never disappoint. You can apply them directly to the skin or combine with other products for your face, body, hair, and nails. Glitters are versatile and would be cool for a Ziggy Stardust or sorceress costume.
Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips Halloween Edition- Nails are our best accessory and you can’t overlook them come Halloween. These nail polish strips are fun, easy to use, and last up to ten days. The Halloween edition includes ghosts, skulls and crossbones, and cobwebs.
Ardell Fright Night Lashes- My clients often try false lashes for the first time on Halloween, I urge you to do the same-they’re so much fun! These designs range from flirty to frightful with plenty of dramatic options. Vampires, Cleopatra, pixies, fortune teller, witch and princess, there are lashes for any look. Simply affix your false lashes with latex adhesive and place them on top of your natural ones to complete your costume look.

Do you know what you’re going to be for Halloween this year? Will you use any makeup, hair, or nail products to complete your look?
