Protecting your body from UV damage doesn’t end with a topical sunscreen. A polypodium leucotomos supplement, found in Heliocare pills, has been shown to protect skin against UV damage and decrease redness after sun exposure from within. Take the recommended amount in the morning when you plan on being outside all day. Supplements are fantastic, and we’ve come a long way, but, nothing beats avoiding the sun during peak hours, seeking shade, and wearing a hat, white clothing, and sunglasses. Practice smart sun, use protection.
