Liquid Gold

image from Allure magazine and two more great serums for dry and normal skin

I don’t know about you, but when it comes to skincare I want to use the heavy hitters. I want to use products that don’t just add another step to my routine, but serve an important purpose and achieve real results. One such product is a serum. These penetrate deep within the skin and encourage change at a cellular level. Serums are to be used after cleansing, and before your moisturizer for maximum absorption. Serums are super concentrated, so a small amount is all you need. If your existing skin care regimen has a few holes, as seen here, and you want to up the ante, a serum is a great way to go. Here are a few of my favorites that address different skin types:

Sensitive-Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Hydra-Pure Redness Soothing Serum- This soothing serum is ideal for sensitive skin types. It contains calming ingredients, like licorice root and bisabolol. It helps dissipate redness and reduce inflammation, perfect for after a facial or workout.

Oily/Acne-Dermalogica Special Clearing Booster- Oil control agents and antimicrobials are key in the war against breakouts. This booster uses benzoyl peroxide and tea tree to dry existing acne and prevent new breakouts from occurring. It also helps to control sebum production.

Dry-Juice Beauty Antioxidant Serum-This certified organic serum is great for exfoliating the skin and improving moisture levels. This paraben free line uses juice to increase cell turnover and fruit peptides to firm skin and promote radiance.

Mature-Jan Marini C-Esta Serum-Vitamin C is crucial to promote collagen production and combat free radical damage. This line is known for being a leader in skin care and their serums really deliver. This lightweight antioxidant rich formula will increase firmness and decrease the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
