Lived-in eyeliner

Smoky eyeliner always makes the sexy list for two reasons. 1.) It makes people think of sex. And 2.) I forget the second one. It’s a very simple look to achieve, it’s all about placement of color and blending. For the traditional black smoky eye, take a black pencil, or black cream liner and black eye shadow and go to town around the eyes. Trace the lashes (top and bottom) with the pencil or cream liner, smudge the lines gently with a brush or finger, and then the cream liner and shadow from the lids to the crease, brusquely blending as you go. End result: imperfect perfection.

So true! Any tips for a rookie using liquid liner? i have SO MUCH trouble keeping a straight line! and end up having to wipe it off and use the good ole pencil instead! I love the LC inspired looks you did on our BHS rep Chloe!

  2. Great question Tara, thank you! If you are more comfortable using the pencil you absolutely can. Now try the liquid liner on top of the pencil. Use the felt tip marker liquid liners (the brush applicators are tricky to wield) and go right along the lash line. Take your time! This is not something to be doing in a hurry, you can try little slashes _ _ _ and then go over them and connect them with the liquid liner. But, try the liquid over the pencil that ought to do the trick! :)
