Baggage. Never a good thing. Whether it’s in a relationship, or dealing with under eye bags. Under eye puffiness can be caused by many things: genetics (thanks Mom), allergies, too much salt, not enough sleep, crying, lack of exercise, and aging. Some quick fixes include: popping an allergy pill, upping your H20 intake, using a retinol eye cream, working out and boosting circulation (hello morning jumping jacks!), avoiding salt like it’s the plague, propping up with an extra pillow while you sleep, and cold green tea bag compresses.
Cold green tea bag compresses may work particularly well for you. That’s because they contain a natural anti-inflammatory chemical known as EGCG, which can reduce fluid build-up that can lead to puffiness. The cold will help reduce swelling, and the caffeine will draw away fluid.
Eye creams are also a great way to help firm up the eye area and drain excess fluid. One of my favorites is Yonka Phyto-Contour Eye Firming Cream. This natural and revitalizing product uses extracts of rosemary to provide immediate benefits you can see. Use this eye mask first thing in the morning and remove with a cold water compress for eyes that are instantly renewed. Follow my advice and your peepers will be pretty, not puffy.
What are your tips and tricks for combating under eye bags?

Definitely bookmarking the heck out of this. I tried the tea-bags before, but never thought to use green tea – doh!
[...] Puffy eyes- Puffy eyes are a drag, so you want to draw the eye up to make it look more open and you more awake and alert. Skip light shades or shimmery eye shadows, these will only enhance the bags. Instead reach for mid tone shades and matte textures. Define your eyes with a thicker line of eyeliner on the top lid, reach for black, dark brown, or navy. Curl your lashes and apply mascara to your top lashes only, skip mascara and eyeliner on the bottom lashes and lash line. You want to draw the eye up and away from your under eye bags not make them look more pronounced, mascara and eye liner on the bottom will create shadows and make your under eye bags worse.
