Makeup Artist Crush: Bobbi Brown

MUA crush. If you enjoy a pretty and polished look when it comes to makeup, then Bobbi Brown is for you. She has made even skin, a pop of color on the cheeks, and defined eye with a strong brow her signature look. Allowing women to look like themselves, at their most beautiful-a makeup philosophy that I also happen to share. Her empowering aesthetic is simple, embrace who you are and celebrate your unique beauty. Her latest campaign, Pretty Powerful, illustrates just that, real women looking fresh and beautiful with simple, flattering makeup. You are already a fan of her best selling products, such as her Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner, Shimmer Brick Compact, Lipstick, and EXTRA SPF 25 Moisturizing Balm. I am also a fan of her illustrious and impressive career. Bobbi is an inspiration to me, as a female working makeup artist she has found a balance between her family and career. Having been obsessed with makeup at a young age, Bobbi set out to create a career out of her passion for all things makeup. Frustrated by her lack of “pretty, no makeup makeup” options, she worked with a chemist to create ten lipsticks-all different variations of nude, brown, and pink. She became an overnight success, as women gravitated to her pretty and polished aesthetic and the idea of wearable, flattering, and simple makeup. With specials on the Today Show and Oprah, author of bestselling books, and doing makeup at New York Fashion Week, Bobbi Brown is truly an inspiring makeup artist. Thank you Miss Brown, a tip of my hat, and a flick of my brush to you. Today kicks off the Bobbi Brown Friends and Family Event. For 3 days only, April 11-13th you can receive 20% off your purchases plus free standard shipping on purchases over $65 on Bobbi Brown’s website. I highly recommend stocking up on the best selling products listed above.

yes i love her philosophy and that she loves black eyeliner on everyone!

@Amy LOVE that she said that! Enough of this brown eye liner and mascara nonsense! haha I did brown eye liner on Heather for one of her maternity shoots and I despised it, there was not enough of a contrast, it didn’t pop or define her eye enough. Nothing can replace black eyeliner!
