NYFW Spring 2012: M.A.C Cosmetics

{Backstage at Peter Som}

Last week spring fashion descended upon New York City. With it came fabulous and gorgeous makeup. I am the first to admit that I am not a slave to trends. Instead, I prefer to have a classic wardrobe of makeup. Makeup that flatters my eye color and skin tone, and best reflects my personal style. I like trends to inspire me, not dictate or define my look absolutely. Of course there is one makeup line that never fails to motivate me, M.A.C. absolutely delivered in the inspiration department in the spring collections. Here are some of my personal favorites and trends we are sure to see more of come spring, courtesy of M.A.C.:

{Smoky eyes at Alexander Wang}

{Red orange lips at Jason Wu}

{Winged liner and faux freckles at Jeremy Scott}

{Strong, defined eye at Peter Som}

{Color on color dimensional lip color at Prabal Gurung}

{Strengthened and fuller eyebrows at Proenza Schouler}

{Polished and pretty at Ruffian}

{Graphic take on the cat eye at The Blonds}

{Dewy skin and long, lush lashes at Zac Posen}

{Rich, chocolate brown lips at Donna Karan}

What do you think of the M.A.C. looks for NYFW Spring 2011? Do you have any favorites? Would you rock any of these looks?

P.S. The fake freckles at Jeremy Scott, reminded me of Carrie’s Central Park picnic look from Sex and the City. I still cringe when I see that outfit!

    Loving the Zac Posen lashes. So fem and pretty.

    I’m not sure about the off the mark/graphic eyeliner trends I’ve been seeing. I don’t completely get it or know where I would rock such a look. Thoughts?

    @Danielle The Zac Posen lashes are actually two false lashes stacked on top of one another, no wonder the models look so doe eyed and gorgeous! I have to say I am liking the graphic eyeliners, it’s an intense look but that’s what I like about it, its fearless. Definitely for a fun evening out, keeping the rest of the face subdued yet flawless (foundation, concealer, powder, and a soft lip). I think you should try it, especially with your brown eyes and tan skin!
