Shellac Polish: New Colors

{Image from CND}

Good news for women who love long wearing manicures and pedicures. CND has released twelve new colors to round out their collection of gel polishes. The colors range from neutrals and light pinks, to a dark blue and black polish that certainly has my attention. Here are the new colors up close:

I know there is currently a chipped nail polish trend, but if you’re not on board and prefer your manicures to be ultra shiny and chip free then Shellac polish is definitely right for you. I have a beach vacation next month, a Shellac manicure and pedicure may be just what I need as it lasts fourteen days. You can read all about my experience with Shellac here. If you’d like to see the Shellac “curing process” in action, you can watch this video from Creative Nail Design on the Shellac French manicure application and removal. One of my complaints with Shellac was the lack of color selection, as I’m a girl with color ADD and I like my options. Now with more colors to choose from, I have a dozen more reasons to give it a go again.

What do you think of the new Shellac colors? Have you tried Shellac yet?

Have a wonderful weekend! Think Spring!

    The first time I tried shellac, several nails chipped within the first week. I was pretty upset about it. Looking back, I think it had to do with insufficient drying time. I gave it another chance and had much better results–colorful shine for 2.5 weeks!

    I wouldn’t spend the money every week, but it is perfect before a special event or vacation!

    I’m so excited there are new colors! I didn’t like being so limited before.

    I would really like to try Rock Royalty. I have done the OPI gels but never Shellac. Do you have a preference?
