Taking Inventory

January is the perfect time of year to stay indoors and catch up on all the things you were too busy to do during the holidays. For me this is watching all my favorite shows, reading new books, and tackling the stack of magazines that have piled up {seriously I have a huge pile and they’re still in encased in plastic. I’m so ashamed}. January is also a great time to take stock of things. A time to examine and reflect and make changes and improvements, whether that is through resolutions, or just a closer look at your daily routine. When it comes to your makeup, skin, and hair, I thought I would check in with you and see where you’re at. This can serve as a personal inventory, or as a potential to-do list.

Are you washing your makeup brushes at least once a week? Read more about the DOs and DON’Ts here.

Are you exfoliating your skin on a regular basis to reap immediate and long term benefits? Chemical exfoliants are incredibly effective; here are a few of my favorites.

Are you rounding out your diet with dietary supplements? If you want healthy hair, skin, and nails this list will help.

Are you moisturizing your face and body immediately upon bathing? Moisturization is crucial and timing is everything. Make the most of your shower and follow my steps listed here.

Are your teeth as white as the winter snow? There are makeup shades that can make or break your smile, find out here if you’re using the right ones.

Are you removing your makeup at night? For nights when I’m wearing the full enchilada I follow this regimen to make sure I’ve removed it all completely.

Are you keeping your lips hydrated and healthy this winter? If your pout needs some TLC I’ve outlined a course of action that will keep them smooth and flake free.

Are you preventing and treating the first signs of skin aging with regular use of an eye cream? It’s a no brainer; here is one of my favorites.

So, how did you do? 10/10 for everyone?
