Think Pink

I may have a girly profession {playing with makeup on a daily basis} and I may enjoy feminine clothing and details, but I do not like the color pink. Not even close. I did a pedicure this past summer with hot pink polish and I felt like a sellout. It just wasn’t me. But when it comes to breast cancer awareness, a cause near and dear to my heart, I will wear it proudly.

My mother, aunt, and late grandmother are all survivors of the disease. Unfortunately, far too many of us know someone whose life has been affected by cancer. It is with great hope, research, education, and advocacy that we can find a cure in our lifetime. This being the 1st of October, the beginning of breast cancer awareness month, I thought I’d share with you some of the great “think pink” breast cancer awareness products available for purchase with proceeds benefiting breast cancer research organizations like the Susan G. Komen Foundation and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Now I may not be a doctor or chemist, but what I can do is be an advocate, increase awareness and shop {pink} till I drop. Let’s turn the world pink, shall we ladies?

White + Warren Pink Collection – You love leopard, pink, and cashmere right? How about all three?

Skechers Shape-Ups – Blast your glutes while you spread awareness for a worthy cause, talk about efficiency!

Bloomingdales has set up their Pink Shop for the month of October with lots of other great products for you and your home all benefiting breast cancer awareness foundations, you can check it out here. Keep an eye out for more fantastic items all month long. If you’d like more information about breast cancer, read this. Remember, we all have to be an advocate for our bodies and our health. Early detection is so important, it could save your life. Think pink!

  1. that is a great post, thank you for that. so many women touched by breast cancer, it’s unbelievable. october is also domestic violence awareness month, and i will do a lot of community outreach for my job on that topic. i bring it up together so that people can see how many women are affected by that, too. 1 out of 4 women are victims of DV. I think that’s pretty unbelievable too.

so glad you stopped by, and thank you so much for your comment about my fall decor. i know, right, i really do wish i had that pamphlet!!
