Today, July 18th, marks the one year anniversary of BreBeauty. As a token of my graditude for you, my fantastic readers, I’m giving away five of my favorite M.A.C. lipsticks. Yes, only five, and yes, it was extremely difficult to narrow down. I had to use the truth guns on myself. These five are for my professional kit and for my own personal makeup bag. Now without further ado, and in no particular order (c’mon these are like my children) here are my top five:
Hug Me (flesh pink Lustre)- This is the color I wear almost daily. It’s the color I wish my lips were naturally, and I highly recommend having a neutral lipstick that you can apply without a mirror.
Cosmo (pink coco Amplified Creme)- This shade is a pretty rosy color, and a favorite of mine to use on my mother of the bride or mother of the groom wedding clients. It photographs beautifully and is also great for the office.
Russian Red (intense bluish-red Matte)- Red lips are a must for any woman. There truly is a red for everyone. This shade is one that I have found to be universally flattering. It’s so classic and chic, a must have!
Creme d’ Nude (pale muted peach beige Cremesheen)- As a huge fan of smoky eyes, the perfect nude lip counterpoint is essential. This shade gives me a muted, glossy, never chalky, effect.
Pink Nouveau (bright pink Satin)- This is the cool, “wild card” option. Makeup should be fun, and this decidely feminine shade of pink is just that. Channel your inner Nicki Minaj or Lady Gaga with this color as both are fans.

Since I started reading your blog, so much about my daily routine has changed. Rembrandt stain removing toothpaste; alba unpetroleum jelly; clairins self tanner; nutregena nightly retinol. I could go on.
I know how to clean and store makeup brushes. I only use shampoos that are opaque. I’m looking forward to my first experience at a blow-dry bar (in Dallas). And sometimes, I even drink coffee with a straw (sssshhh, don’t tell).
Bre–you are positive influence and beauty role model. Congratulations on one great year! Can’t wait to see what this next one brings!

I love the Q&As
I LOVE the make up don’ts. They’ve helped me improve my make up application a lot and kept me from committing various make up sins.
I have also incorporated the inexpensive face powder as dry shampoo tip into my regular routine and it’s saved me a lot of money as well as helped me declutter my bathroom (I think the post was sometime in the Spring?).
